Oil Cleansing

How does it work?

Honored Coconut Oil Cleanser + Moisturizer is an all in one product. Light, smooth and easily applicable, it gently and effectively removes makeup, cleanses & moisturizes.

Oil Cleansing works by allowing “like to dissolve like”. Non-comedogenic oil lifts excess sebum from glands on the skin, clears out pores and blackheads and removes dead skin, pollutants and makeup!

Cleansing soaps strip the skin of natural oils, disrupts natural PH, and causes overproduction of oil, clogged pores and breakouts. Completely soap free, Coconut Oil Cleanser + Moisturizer can help to balance skin PH naturally.

Honored Oil Cleanser + Moisturizer is made from wonderful blend of  organic coconut oil, organic Vitamin E and organic rose-hip oil. Organic coconut oil has been said to have potent antimicrobial properties that can reduce inflammation.

Which variety should I buy?

Sweetgrass: Light and clean, this blend is perfect for everyone. Moisturizing, gentle and especially suitable for sensitive, rash and eczema prone skin.
Gypsy Soul : Warm, balanced and inviting. Bergamot balances emotions, gentle citrus lifts spirits, while warm notes of vanilla ground and entice.
Lavender : Great to use anytime, and especially recommended for acne prone skin.

How long does it take?

Allow skin 1-2 months to “purge” and acclimate. During this phase, remember that your skin is adjusting.  If you have purchased Lavender for acne reasons, however find that your skin feels dry or irritated, it would be best to switch to the Sweetgrass variety on your next purchase.

How do I use it?

To cleanse: Rub a dime sized amount of oil into to dry skin. Dampen a wash cloth (micro-fiber recommended) with tolerably hot water, ring out, and place warm cloth over face to gently steam. After a few seconds, use washcloth to remove excess oil from skin. If wearing make-up, repeate this process twice. The first round will remove makeup, and the second will cleanse.
